ANOTHER new driver starting out

    In other news, just went to the tow shop for a second interview and after a few questions the owner offered me the job complete w/ my pay requirement even being a dollar more an hour than I requested. I told him that after talking it over with the family would be in touch first thing Wed morning (getting married tommorow).

    He gave me a bunch of learning materials, papers to fill out, introduced me to the office staff and then we went out in the yard and looked at the available equipment again.

    If I accept the job the start date will be Thursday, Dec 1 at 7 am.

    Anyhow, if you break down in the Philly area and see the guy in the pic below roll up in a big red wrecker, then that will be me.

    Congrats, that can be a very good paying job, especially if you buy your own truck down the road....

    You can't(legally) drive a heavy wrecker with a CDL B - well you could drive the wrecker, you just couldn't tow anything > 10,000lbs.

    i dont know the rules regaurding wreckers, but i do know her, and know that she was driving them for years before getting her Class A.

    Yeah, wouldn't surprise me - could be one of those funky loopholes in regualtions or something...
