Hello everyone. I'm stewey. I'm another new guy here and I am looking forward to all your comments on questions, comments or concerns I have about the trucking industry. I am a current graduate of Eagle Truck Driving School of Lake in the Hills, Illinois. This is a career change for me stemming from my having gotten tired of the job chasing as a union carpenter for over 20 yrs. Trust me, I appreciate all that I learned during my time doing commercial carpentry. However, the work out there is next to nothing and I have responsibilities that require money. I have always had a sort of "back burner" desire to drive a truck since I was a young kid. So I guess I'm going to bring it to the "front of the stove" so to speak. So here I go...
Another new guy here!

Welcome to the forum, stewey. Have you found a driving job since graduation?
-
Welcome, I am also an out of work carpenter looking to get back in to a truck.
Just remember the money will be no where near what it was swinging a hammer.
Good luck -
Welcome to the party!

@G/MAN No I haven't. I have 6 prehire letters that are on file at the school where I just graduated.
@slim shady I know the money won't be the same but, anything's better than no money! -
Welcome stewey. Lake Zurich, that's where my ex works. I use to live north of there outside McHenry.
