    Wise decision... if you feel rushed or overwhelmed, back off and study it all a bit longer, until you find the path that works best for you. There's no shame in it, and you may save yourself a world of unnecessary grief. Don't forget to check out those listings at fleetdirectory.com, as some of those companies also offer training.     Hey Skeet! Im sure you wll be back! I was bouncing back and forth like you were at one time! I had been on un-enjoyment for the first time in my life and I knew I had to do something, cause the job market in Michigan for a Union carpenter was pretty bleek! I went through our Michigan works program and Mr Obama is paying for my driving school. A total of $5000 was avaluable for schooling. I did have the money in savings but I figured after 20 years of paying into our gov, I should begin to get something back out of them!
    And yes this forum has been a big help for me in narrowing my decision as to what company I want to try and hire onto. A lot of good people on here!!!! I start school on Monday and am so ready to get my employment going again. Plus my sugar momma isn't gonna let me go through another summer ridding around on the bike all day while she works!! LOL I got a great woman!! Stay in touch with all of us as I will do the same with you!

    Just a quick update on my status:
    Went and had coffee this morning with the Instructor at the school...we had a great talk about things... He said "You really HAVE been hitting the books and research, huh? "
    Yup...
    He asked if I had any certain companies in mind yet... and we talked about the "reputations" of various companies. I told him what I have read and 'listened' to folks say (mainly on here...without giving away the name of this forum) and he launched into a very decent and sincere conversation about "Internet Opinions".... I came away with a good feeling from him. He basically said (boiling it down to a summary):
    It is what you make it.
    That's pretty much it.
    There is Good and there is Bad, out there.

    Number One Rule, he said -- concerning all of it with a New Student Driver and his/her success is: ATTITUDE! Don't be a know-it-all and work your ### off and you'll be fine.

    Very decent conversation and he's penciled me in for class in Feb. Also clued me in to going ahead this next month and spend 50 bucks and take my writtens, get my permit, and he can then knock off 800 bucks from the school price.....

    So that's what Im looking at right now.... still learning and listening:)
