MY ROOMATE WENT HOME TODAY!! We lost a few more including him...it sucks but I am glad I am still here. I found out about the CRAFT program and my training here is FREE as long as I stay with them a year (nothing deducted from my pay at all as long as I stay 52 weeks...not the old pay it weekly and then get paid back...FREE). If your a Veteran, you should check it out.
Ok...only stayed up till midnight studying and I only got past the Gen knowledge but it payed off as I only missed one on our practice tests for them today. I tanked the Comb and AB tests tho.
The instructors came in and taught us and I passed them after that. I have a study test and book to go over tonight and then it's test time.
BTW: Celtic Wolf, I was sure to give you credit on all the forms under referal since you spent so much time talking to me about it and you were the main reason I came here....of course, I also know who to chew on if I hate it... lol

On a side note:
there are some guys that paid to get CDL's from local CC's and other schools back home (some recent as last month) that are having a hard time getting jobs...at least this way, I am guaranteed a job if I do my part -
Im going to be watching this for updates daily. As I have looked into CRE And Im signed up for there March 21st class. But then Hit the internet for reviews. Ive seen 3 good reviews out of 100. Mostly there horriable "lease" program That I wont do. But not much on there Company drivers.
What "school" are you at? And once again I hope to see update's daily. Or as Much as you can on your progress. -
Sam Hell Thanks this.

I passed my tests and got my CDL permit now...
Now we are learning the detailed pre-trip, smith driving system, shifting, etc...
Had another guy sent home today for failing his DRUG TEST!!!! Why even show up if you have done it recently.
Things are looking good so far but we have a mountain of stuff to studay tonight and another test/homework due tomorrow -
Well, timd1978, myself and I am sure the other 600+ who have viewed your thread look forward to your posts. Thanks for the updates. Good luck with your tests.

UTurn55: Thanks for that man, I am just hopeing to let people see what it is really like to be here so they can decide if it is for them.
We had a few more guys get sent home today for backgrounds...I am told that it was a waiverable/acceptable offense but because it was not brought to light up front they are gone. I am told that integrity is huge here and telling the truth will get you kept more than it will send you home.
The few 1st try cdl failures went back and I think they all passed today (the ones that had to go back only failed one section so they now knew what to focus on).
Have a test on coupling in a bit...UTurn55 Thanks this. -
Day 4 is over..passed coupling test on paper and will do it tomorrow on truck I am told along with backing. Got some homework and reading to do. So far liking it a lot. The instructors are great guys with a good sense of humor.
There is a HUGE focus on safety and security so I hope they live up to the what they are saying.
Gotta go study and do homework now...
