Dispelling Rumor: No, he doesn't NEED doubles and triples for SWIFTs HH. Swift won't even consider him for Doubles training until he has at least 6 months solo under his belt, and then he has to ask for it. Although, it's a good thing to have the endorsement on the licence. In WA, it's just an extra $10 and a silly written test. I'm glad to hear he's enjoying training and learning. Wait 'til he gets his own rig. That's when the Real Learning begins...
Here in Texas you dont do a pretrip for the examiner before the driving test, you do it on the computer inside D.P.S, along with the 4 other tests. Much simpler....BigT
