Time for another update. Been busy having fun, hanging out at home, taking care of some loose ends, like switching phone carriers, as AT&T has no service at all down past M/O area, and will be returning to the fields, this weekend. Got a call from Nabors today, and since everything checked out ok, I will be starting work next Tuesday...gotta go down to the Iraan yard for some more paperwork, videos, and getting settled into the company housing, then Wednesday I'll be in Odessa for orientation.
This is true, but it is also a big morale boost...better hurry gettin over here, as we got a cold front coming back in
Definitely a good idea to get some cash set aside...I myself, have lost 2 tires and a chipped windshield since I've been down there. Also a good idea to dress for work when you apply...good jeans, boots, and a plaid western shirt, all good for applying and interviewing.
That's the one.
Another oil field hopeful...

Two thumbs up.
No experience and still you will get your first paycheck 30 days from the day you started out. Pretty much solidifys the notion that ya got to get out there and do a face to face.
THIRSTY Thanks this. -

Quick update....Nabors called me last week while I was back home..everything is a go, and I report to the yard tomorrow, then off to Odessa for orientation etc on Wednesday....nervous, but excited to finally get to work.
Got back in town Saturday afternoon, and met desertlites yesterday. Went out for chow, and shot the breeze for a few hours...he's good people, if ya ever get the chance to run into him. Will update again soon.
