The TTT will bite the dust on the restaurant side soon as well.

The waitresses are about a 1000 years old, and have attitude.

It doesn't need to be Hooters, but when the service sucks, people remember.

 

The only reason The Davetro will work when it opens is because I'll work it with one or two of my cousins.

Well...with the state of so many drivers today--crybabying, complaining-about-everything half-out-of-shape, uncouth, unclean, foul-mouthed and rude attitudes...tell me how many attractive women are really gonna wanna be around that?

(Not a specific dig at anyone in particular, but the truth is what it is.)

Almost any hasgas station has a whole dedicated section for meats and cheese...

Just pick up some cheese and smoked ham!

 

That's the cool thing about Wisconsin.....lots and lots of cheese. Pizzas are awesome.
The only truckstop I ever went to that would sell you beer across the counter was in Denmark Wisconsin.
I just thought that was so awesome.

Its a shame, but the writting was on the wall.

I know they had trouble staffing the place - always had a sign up looking for waitress and cooking staff. I think it was 2 years ago they cut their hours back. I think they closed around 1900 and didn't open until 0700 which meant I stopped eating there because I start at 0600ish and get done 1830ish usually. I don't overnight in Belmont much anymore - I can usually push to Cedar Rapids/Falls or Oshkosh. Its a quick stop and go.
