Another Reason to Not Park On The Shoulder

According to the news report the driver was arrested for DUI.

 

So much for building comradery. And a group trust.

 

When I drove for Schneider years ago, I had someone go tell the manager in Dallas that I was on the yard with no orange vest on... I was sitting in my truck at the time, and got a message to come in and talk to them. I knew IMMEDIATELY who it was that snitched. At that time, it wasn't a hard rule, and really only applied to working OUTSIDE the truck on the yard. On the way back out, I passed the dude... and told him "Ya wanna snitch on me for nothing...? Here is SOMETHING: If you do that again, I am going to stuff that brown shirt down your throat.... now go tell on me."

 

In the past month on I10, I15, I40 there have been 6 more vehicles struck that were parked on the shoulder. 4 were truck vs. truck, and 2 were truck vs. 2 Prevost motor coaches that had matching trailers hooked up. They were parked on the shoulder and a truck sideswiped both of them ripping the sides open.
