Yeah I'm pretty sure it was a Fork in the Road, ate there a couple times before. Sign on the door said the Country Pride was closed indefinitely and "feel free to take advantage of our quick serve restaurants". Yay another Subway and overpriced Taco Bell lol

Wasn't a fan of country pride. Got a cheeseburger at one of em that was so bad I took it back, and I rarely take anything back. It was inedible.

Their burgers are usually the one can't miss thing they have, but at certain locations they manage to seemingly do nothing right. The one in North Canton in particular is always lousy when I'd go there and the one in Moriarty, NM is always crap too...

That's why Subway and other fast food outfits are becoming the norm at truck stops. They are at least consistent, and you pretty much know what you're going to get, going in. Country Pride's and Iron Skillet's? It may be good or it may be awful, but regardless you're going to spend $5-$9 more for the bet.
And the same with service at these restaurants. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it non-existent. I won't eat at a Iron Skillet or Country Pride any more, truck stop Denny's? These are quickly becoming more of a crap-shoot, too. Only a handful of independent truck stop restaurants across the nation I feel comfortable trading with.
