Right! The calibrators are being paid off by the manager of each fuel stop according to the "conspiracy theorist" drivers.
Next in the line is Saudi oil companies were caught heating oil to rob the refineries.
Another scam???

I'm not sure if you're agreeing with me or making fun of me in a sarcastic manner. I made more than one point, which one are you referencing?
-
My truck heats the fuel. It's Kenworth's fault.

Blame it on global warming!
More regulation!
Tighter controls!
Bigger government!PoleCrusher, misterG and TennMan Thank this. -
I would like to offer a solution to this problem. For anyone who is concerned about being ripped off by heated fuel I would like to offer my new "temperature expanded fuel insurance policy".
This is how it works:
You send me $199/mo. And I cover all verifiable losses due to shady truck stops heating fuel to rip off truckers. As always, Big Zila Enterprises offers a 50% discount to anyone who can provide a selfie with the Sasquatch or the name of the man on the grassy knoll.PoleCrusher, Dogals right foot, MrEd and 1 other person Thank this. -
As far as I know, I'm agreeing with you on the measurements.DsquareD Thanks this.

That entire fuel pump probably felt warm. Sitting in the sun in June in Mississippi? I'd expect it to be warm. Feel your fuel tank and fuel filter some time right after you have been driving. Your truck itself heats the fuel far warmer than it was when you bought it.
-
The fuel tank is just barely under the concrete. I'm betting there is some solar gain there. None of the lines going from the tanks to the pumps are very deep either. The sun is very efficient at heating stuff up.
-
Buy a bag of ice, while you're getting a shower, buying your case of Mt Dew, and 3 Burritos, and blocking the pumps. Wrap it around the hose.
Problem solved.BIGZILLA, 4mer trucker and PoleCrusher Thank this. -
In our county the Department of Weights and Measures checks the accuracy of the volume of fuel pumped versus readout on the pump
If the 2 agree a inspection seal is affixed to that pump, every pump is inspecteddrvrtech77 and HalpinUout Thank this.
