My dad told me a story of a truck that he saw at the top of a ramp many many years ago... Apparently that ramp ended at a shear rock wall... The cab of the truck was completely crushed and the front of the trailer was against the rock face.

This looks to be a pretty impressive system... Surprised we dont see this type of ramp in the USA. I would imagine that more tapes could be installed to arrest a vehicle at much greater speeds.
Bud A., FlaSwampRat and Lepton1 Thank this. -
You know I have only driven 18 months hauling milk in shotgun tankers but ran around Chicago up to Wisconsin from Michigan 4 times a week .
The one thing I swore I was going to do when I got out of my company truck and into my personal truck was this.
One a big giant arrow of a blinker -- may be 5 of them down the length of both sides of the truck .
Signs on the side of the truck and the rear that reads.
" If you see this little Blinky thing Blinking it is because I need to be were you are Right Now"
We can do this the easy way or the hard way .
The total disregard of our signals by the 4- Wheeler crowd is unbelievable . After running for 6 months and trying to be a nice guy and stay out of the hammer lane going through cities I gave up after such blatant disregard.
Too many instances of loaded trucks coming off those circle ramps only being able to get 25 mph of speed and traffic not letting you over was enough for me .Last edited: Jul 28, 2019

What we really need is like they have on garbage trucks , the handle that reaches out from the side and picks up trash can then sets it back down. Just put one of those like every 10ft down the trailer when u need over just flip the switch in the cab and pick that 4 wheeler up ,make ur lane change, then when ur ready to get back to the original lane ,get back over and then set that 4 wheeler right back down in the hammer lane like nothinv ever happened, Man i would do anything to see that #### happen in real life. LolLepton1, tommymonza and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
