He's right, drivers working for the big fleets are working for peanuts these days...Just to live at the same standard as a truck driver in 1983, a driver would have to make about 65,000 now. Most drivers aren't paid anywhere near that.

Yeah for the average Lifestyle of a person committing to their employer for weeks or even months at a time to pay should be dramatically higher.
The guys that are out long-term should be making six figures without question. The amount of sacrifice they give up in their personal life and families to make the company profit is insane. The big megafleet truly have rolling sweatshops it's not even a stretch to call them that....
