Antenna ideas...

After watching the video, you are seeing what is considered changes in capacitance relationship between the vehicle and the earth via atmospheric changes. If it went from 1.02 to 3 when running, I would worry but maybe I missed it, but it seemed to rise less than 1.10, it seems to be doing very well.

 

Yes I noticed and again this goes back to what I said, you are seeing capacitance relationship changes between the earth and the vehicle because of actually ... atmospheric changes and my bad ... I forgot to add in the changes in earth under the vehicle. Everything is dependent on the capacitance within the antenna system which the vehicle is part of.

 

Dude, just accept it as another mystery of RF.

 

From the 2014 thread I started. Keep in mind, I slip seated and had to get by with a temporary mount. But, this stopped the wild swinging around of my antenna. Ugly, but it worked out well. And left no damage.
