I had just one antenna hooked up to it, a Wilson 5000 magnet mount on my car. Was in a wreck recently that totaled the car though, and ruined the mag mount in the ensuing damage. My backup vehicle is an old 1991 Chevy 1500 pickup truck, and the only vehicle I own currently. I bought 2 Wilson 2000 Trucker antennas and am going to have two on the pickup anyway, so I might as well tune them both differently and use them both for separate bands.

Well, my parts came in the mail today, and I've got it halfway setup. (So hot outside, I had to come inside and take a break) Got the antennas mounted, and the radio installed. Just have to go find my SWR meter and do some tuning before I'll be ready to go. I sure hope I don't have to do any antenna clipping, that stuff takes forever to file down.

Update: Just as I feared, even when adjusted to the shortest default height, the SWRs are above 3 and in the red. Filing these things takes hours, maybe there's an easier way?

Sure theres an easier way, use the correct antenna, It's called a broadband antenna. It is designed to cover a wide range of frequemcies. When you get tired of spending hours in the son, get the correct antrenna
