That doesn't work either, you do that and the engine shuts down after about 30-40 mins. cause what I presume the truck isn't rolling and the RPM's are not fluctuating. I was on a incline at a rest area about 4 nights ago and I set the trailer brakes and released the tractor brakes and set the cruise and idled up the engine to 900 rpm and the truck ran the longest it has ever ran in this configuration about 45 mins-55 mins then it shut down. The lack of hills or incline's at rest areas causes me to look at other options.
anti-idle auto shutdown bypasses?

Drivers are fools working for companies like that ... Either give me a heating cooling solution , motel or idle WHEN necessary .. It's 2015 any good driver has his choices of carriers
-
Well, you just insulted me... I am asking for help here and all I seem to get is smart ### comments and insults from pricks like you magoo68.. I am no longer paid by the mile and I am on e-log. I am paid a $ 60,000.00 yearly salary plus bonuses that can add up to $ 2200.00 plus per quarter, paid medical insurance, and a 1 weeks vacation.. No more worries about sitting cause I can't get a load or am I going to get paid detention, or layover or getting the miles . Do the math. I can only think of 2 companies offering $ 60,000.00 starting yearly salary plus bonuses, a 1 week vacation upon hire date and paid medical insurance for the driver. I'll clue you in on one of those companies, they are based in Little Rock, Arkansas, Maverick Transportation. And the other is based in SLC, Utah.

to kill it on my volvo I learned quick to use cruise to idle it up and that over rides it

Ask your boss for help if he says no odds are you get canned when they see your idle percentage up there PS 60 k is common if you stay away from megas not the exception ... If you gotta be dishonest in order to get heat or cooling why work there this will only be the tip of the iceberg

Where is the temp sensor in the international. Just got a 2018 international lt and it’s almost summer! I’m gonna have a heat stroke

Getting a OLD USED CPAP you wont touch with a 10 foot pole at a flea market or thrift shop. Clean it up a little bit (Put foil shiny side up under any visible plastic on that thing...) and carry it into your shop off hand thump it down and talk about this and that and work around to the subject of idle.
If I know anything about shop bosses, he will see that CPAP and made the decision to bypass idle for you on the spot. Just need to get out of his hair, he has 10,000 children to feed. -
2018 international lt we’ve tried EVERYTHING except removing the sensor. Is the CPAP deal the only option we have for real? We’re smarter than this. We gotta figure this out y’all. Fuses? Where’s the ambient temp sensor? Cruise trick won’t work. Broom won’t work! This trucks are to smart for us I guess...

Here is the sensor with the part number. Note that it's not currently availible as of the post, however you can find it easily on ebay by part number.

The air temperature is probably either center of the bumper (Behind it) in the front or next to the exhaust pipe in the back.
Here is a poster who moved his from under the radiator where it's probably cozy all the time to near the mirrior area
I found the Ambient Air Temp Sensor! 2008 ProStar... -
Unless your sleeping. Than what?
