new trucks got EBS with ESP systems (volvo, daimler, MAN...) , but this system works especially cool if u have trailer with EBS and RSS. so as some drivers say - no way to roll it over on road, but if you dich it)) hah!

EBS is cool platform for other options like DisTronic (active preventive collision auto brake), park tronic (truck applies brake to prevent collision during backinga and docking).... but sensors are expencive and they fail sometimes so maintanace require additional money and skilled personel.

Here's a simple solution SLOW DOWN!!!! Drive like you have a full, hot cup of coffee between your legs and you don't want to get burned. I drive high center of gravity loads, and if the sign say 25 mph, that's what you do.

I also run heavy (for a straight truck), high CoG loads......i have never heard laying it down going around too slow...I'd rather power out than brake through a turn.....

    Yup,they have.................have you the $$$$???? :biggrin_2559:

Wore out, what i will type below isn't a attack at your skills but.......

Have you ever driven a TEBS truck with diskbrakes on the truck+trailer?
    With the anti-rollover device?
    With ECAS on both truck+trailer?
I know the answer as it is a unfair question.(you cannot get EBS in North America at this time)

    Wore out,you are a bullhauler.
How many bullhaulers have you known that rolled their rig?
Over the years it will have been several.
Many even with some deaths as a result.
Some off those will have been "good" drivers.

So i challenge anyone to drive a truck and trailer equipped like that ,for a month, and afterwards say they prefer a rig with drums and ABS.
    Why?
Because the braking is SO much better with disks+EBS.

I will add that those old skool drivingskills Wore out( and others) is talking about are the best working practices.
It is allways better not to need a safety feature.

EBS, ESP, autobrake and RSS are especially useful when driver is tired, disattracted, under bad road/weather conditions.

Who says that TCAS and TAWS are bad on commercial planes? Autopilot and autoland are for bad pilots?

Really technologies goes more available and appeare on road vehicles too.

on the older bendix system....on an 06 truck...

They said specifically in the video, you should not drive the truck any differently because it has the system. It is designed to help out of you screw up, but you shouldn't put the truck in that situation more just because you have the system. A good driver doesn't care if he has the system since he should never use it. Having this should not give you a reason to be more distracted. You shouldn't pay less attention or drive faster because you have it. You shouldn't get used to having it since you should never use it. If you screw up, it might save your truck, but it might not. Its not training wheels for your truck. Its more like airbags on your car. Just because you have airbags doesn't mean you can drive stupider. Just because you have a system that MAY keep you from rolling doesn't mean you should ever put the truck in that possition.

Actually, if it WEREN'T for airbags, ABS, crumple zones, automatic transmissions, power steering, etc...all of the features that allow a driver to distance himself from the task of driving, and lessen the injury if/when a screw-up occurs...has only enabled bad driving behavior and contributed to the current situation where people allow themselves to be distracted.

Wow, the ignorance displayed in this thread is laughable.

First, ESC/RSC is not going to stop you from swerving around a child. IN fact, it will ALLOW you to swerve around that child and STOP your rig from ROLLING over on the child! LOL!

ESC/RSC will save you one day. It can't defy physics, but if you make a panic lane change to avoid an accident, it can save you from a roll over.

Comparing a collision avoidance system like On Guard is just silly. ESC/RSC prevents roll over and loss of control. On Guard prevents you from hitting an object in front of you. Two entirely, different systems.

ABS is a great thing too, I wouldn't want a vehicle with out it. It avoids accidents. Anyways, with the exception of On Gaurd and bipolar collision avoidance systems, ESC/RSC is a great tool that should be standard on new trucks.

Early trailer EBS were designed for air suspention only, but TEBS-E is ready for leafspring suspention.

Later TEBS-E got variable power version for countries were both 12V and 24V electric systems on semis are used. Before 12V and 24 V versions were different, later they used different software for different power supply, now system works in range from 10v tp 33v
