I have been tuning up my bow and getting ready for archery season next month. I have found out (the hard way) that my shoulder and other associated muscles are WAYYY out of shape. i am sore as can be from shooting a little every day. (i could hardly pull my 75# bow back at first)
anyone have any tips on ways to get muscles further in shape and keep them that way while on the road? too bad i cant just take my bow with me and draw it several times per day LOL
Any archers out there?

pushups, reverse pushups too I guess I dont know what they're called. Grab a bar, or the rub rail on your trailer(if you have one) put your feet sort of under the trailer as you lean back and pull yourself forward, then go back slowly and repeat. Sort of mimics drawing a bow string too.

If you can find a place to do pullups, that would be HUGE. If possible, take some dumbbells to do dumbbell rows without RESTING your knee on a bench. Also, rear deltoid raises, along with ab/low back exercises, which are simple and can be done anywhere. Any questions, hit me up and I will send more info your way.
Yes, I shoot bow, as well. I only hunt wild turkeys, though....

I can't due to medical problems, but why don't you take a recurve with you, string it and draw it slow and back it off slow, that should keep you in shape, otherwise do the exercises others have recommended.
I have a cousin that stalks and draws, he gave up stands and compounds long ago. I'm not sure what trips his trigger, he likes the old ways better , I guess.
