Coke in Philly is pretty hard to get into, bulk that is. It's pretty much linehaul work, shuttling from plant to plant. They max you out to the full weight limit aloud. They work about 12 hours a day and do yard jockey as well, depending on seniority. They start off around $17 an hour and it takes about 3 years to reach top rate, which is about $23-24. They're also Teamsters, just like the Pepsi plant in NE Philly. The Pepsi plant also have bulk delivery drivers (transport driver) as well, but you can only get it from INHOUSE only, so depending on where you are on the seniority list as a delivery driver, it can take years to move up.

    Oh, that coke......Lol

I was gonna say, if you run coke out of the cartels main terminal in Sinaloa, you get the border bonus if you make it...

Seriously tho, when I was LTL, I used to deliver hazmat load to coke plant...crazy little paper bundles marked Danger annhydrous caffeine...think about it everytime I open a cold one up, why hazmat? why have i not looked it up? why am i addicted to coke!! LOL

    It's okay..

We're shorthanded at the moment, so we're all working 6 days a week..

I just finished 60 hrs for the week...

The equipment is pretty bad too... I'm driving a "super 10" that was made back in 99.. It's sucks....

Once we get back to full staff, it should be alot better...

One thing I didn't know, is that the sideloaders make more money than Bulk. The money is so good over there that the Sideloaders didn't want to "upgrade" to Bulk..

Good luck to you with Pepsi.. You'll discover that you Coke and beer trucks will be racing each other to get on the docks lol

    Mike2633 Thanks this.
