I have been driving for Wylie since 2004 they are a fair honest company
Are their things that I wish was different with Wylie you bet but the fact is I can live with it.
here are the facts no bull no pulled punches
Wylie does use Elogs but i have legally run 3200 miles in a week with no real problems the key to e-logs is a good work ethic and planning.
the company trucks are set at 62 but the flip side is Wylie has one of the highest pay packages in the industry, you want a big fast chicken truck and willing to work for 32 cents per mile don't come here.
Wylie demands safe respectful drivers who can be trusted they do not intend to be baby sitters.
We are buying a bunch of new trucks this year changing a policy that has been around the company for as long as i have been with them. Kenworths. and International. conventional in different colors some nice looking trucks
Wylie has always been a safety first company not just on paper but in practice they expect you to run legal.
I have never received an unfair load failure. you communicate with the driver management and they will back you up 100%
you will never get a call with some jerk on the other end cursing you out or telling you in any form or manner to cheat on your Logs or run unsafe.
in the time i have drove for Wylie I have had disagreed with one thing or another it is discussed in a respectful understanding manner
I have never been cheated by them my paycheck never bounces.
Wylie can and does put there foot down on certain issues with no exceptions or excuses
    You run 100% legal
    you respect the customers
    you respect your fellow employees
and you present yourself in a professional manner this includes wearing your safety vest and other required clothing.
In return Wylie gives you the professional respect you deserve.
Am I making a killing nope am I making a living absolutly. but just as important I am able to do so without breaking any laws in any form or manner
I am not a recruiter I am a driver one that will flat out tell you now if you are not willing to run legal and professional you might want to find another company
but if you are willing to work within the lines ( pun intended) then Wylie is a good place to be.

    DocRox and RedDirtDriver Thank this.

The way you word half that post sounds like a dispatcher working for wylies.

Be interesting to hear if you still pull a bunch of reynolds /alcoa loads and get into BC for lumber still.

I half went looking for it and found an old thread that had been resurrected....

Was trying to find some information on wylies and see what other flat beds are in the Minnesota area.

I started with EW Wylie in 1990. I KNOW to stay away from them.

I bought a company jacket when I was working for them and the day I left I handed it to the president and told him I was embarrassed to have ever been seen in the coat.

Don't get me wrong, I learned a LOT driving for them. But I would never go back to them.
