Any drivers been in this area?!

    We have a delivery in Houston (North) and afterwards we are going to be hanging out with the family in South Houston (near the Galveston, League City, Texas City, Baytown, Kemah, Clear Lake area), does anyone know of any truck-stops, travel centers or safe truck parking where we can park our tractor-trailer?

    There is a Flying J at Baytown. Lock it up tight.:biggrin_2559: Exit 789. There is a Love's and a T/A at that exit also.

    Oh gosh, I was hoping there were others than the ones in Baytown. You've been out there so you know what a bad area it is. It is still a good 30-40 minutes from my family, but I guess better than nothing, huh?

    There's Flying J's north of Houston, on both 45 and 59. There's a little truck stop down in Galvaston, also alot of places to park down by the port. I don't know how safe it is down there with noone around.

    The J on 59 is OK, fills up quick in the late afternoon, though. They used to allow trailer drops, but many locals were abusing the privilige and leaving their trailers there for a week. No trailer drops now.
