I never said that YOU dress or act like a bar-fly, so calm down. My point is guys will joke around but all the stories are just that... mostly bs stories. Personally I'd prefer a male trainer. While I'm a woman, I've seen alot of women out here that can't drive much less teach someone. Very few trainers are going to be patient and stroke your ego... you hold their lives in your hands. Put yourself in their shoes. This is an industry where you have to be thick skinned or you will never make it, especially as a woman. A male trainer should be the last of your concerns. Training is a very short time compared to an entire career. Stay positive, ask questions, LISTEN and LEARN no matter if they say it gentle or not.

I mean no offense by that... I know my 18 old son can't stand in a breeze. Just be safe and make smart choices...

So this got way off track, but pjay, considering the industry you are wanting to go into, dealing with men on a daily basis is unavoidable. Some are going to be rude, some are going to be great. As far as your trainer, if you are with an inpatient male, consider as part of your training. If you think that the first time you are doing a difficult back and take a long time that the male drivers aren't going to make fun of you on the radio or just sit and laugh, you are in for a rude awakening. Take a male trainer. It won't be that bad and if he is tough on you, it will only help you prepare for the career you are entering. You gotta be tough and thick skinned. Most of the guys are friendly and respectful to me, but I speak my mind and have 15 tattoos so I think I scare the crap out of them. :biggrin_2556:
