You know this is going to go against the grain but we are ALL allowed to succeed.

I’m of the opinion that anyone who takes the time and effort to start a business and actually reaches out to me for guidance or help….we’ll I’m going to help them to the best of my ability- even if that means giving them work to start them out.

You run a brokerage so of course you would say that. Are you going, "give them work" for free? We know you're going to take a bite off that rate before you "give" it to them.

Technically I’m a carrier. I only broker stuff out I can’t handle which is far and few between.

I think in total I’ve only brokered 20 loads of that.

But you have a broker MC and stand to profit from any work you "give" away.

Here is a really good question for you.

If I ask you what you want to make
? And I either give that to you or even add 10% to that number, does it matter if I make a profit off it ?

I’m saying if someone comes to me asking for advise on how to run a business or how to do something I’ll gladly go out of my way to help them or make them succeed.

I agree, and what they fail to realize it is just takes one carrier to do what they are doing cheaper and they are toast. And even if the truck isn't cheaper, when thing get slow thats less loads for the said person.

I don't blame you for making a dollar off anyone. However, your initial post made it clear you would be "giving them work" but in fact you're not "giving" them anything for free... you're profiting off it. So of course you're more than willing to "help" them when you're getting paid to do it.

Landstar is the king of double brokering freight. They are no loaded here with us. They will straight lie right to your face and tell you its their truck 1000%, then post the load up immediately. Ive caught them myself calling, getting my load details and then posting on DAT.

Go to the Thai Garden in Central Point, OR.

Tell the cute girl at the counter that you're there for three and a half containers of their eggroll sauce.

You'll get escorted (not by her, but by someone else) through the kitchen to a freezer door. It's not actually a freezer but opens to a staircase that goes down to a secret basement containing a few hard working brokers. Never mind that they're chained to the wall and there's buckets and filthy cots near their desks.

They have the best loads available anywhere in the the U.S.A

One word of caution, you better end every conversation with a ;) otherwise they'll blacklist you. Have to be polite.

I've put myself in grave danger by sharing this information but I like to be a nice guy every now and then by getting the word out.
