Hey folks,
Anyone know of any good carriers that are hiring in BC? 7 years exp and looking for work, however I am looking for respectful companies that have good equipment and good miles. Too many shady and unethical companies out here it seems.
Cheers

Arrow Transportation. Many different types of jobs, always hiring. Good, old, union company, been around since 1918, I think. I used to work there, so it's first-hand information. Good luck.BigHossVolvo and Phantom Trucker Thank this.

Excellent, thanks for that ... I have heard of them before. Sorry, I should have been more clear in my posting, as I am looking for Longhaul work and not local. These folks do a lot of bulk/chip work. But thanks for the reply.

Yes, Arrow is mostly local, pays by the hour, (or trip rate) of course. Hard to find a BC carrier who pays properly by the hour for long-haul work, including all required compo, overtime, vacation, C.C.P., U.I., as all required by Canadian law. Not worth it otherwise. Some Alberta carriers do, (Mullen Group may still) and some Quebec carriers do now, others coming around, kicking and screaming...

OTR based in BC and hiring, the answer is No.

From what I've seen, if they're based out of the Vancouver area they're probably shady AF.
dustinbrock, BigHossVolvo and Phantom Trucker Thank this. -
Has nearly become and oxymoron by using good carriers and BC in the same sentence. They are around, but turnover is little to none.BigHossVolvo, Phantom Trucker, magoo68 and 1 other person Thank this.
