Any Idea?.....3406E Cat Problems

    BRONCRIDER: The issue you described here from your past experience at a shop regarding the white smoke, etc....do you recall what the reason was. Our 3406e is doing exactly as your described...

    The E Model doesn't have Intake Valve Actuators

    Have a 3406E in a 95 pete. On Friday it droped #3&4 cyls. cat techs said pritty much the same things as you have been told. We checked all the wireing with an ohem meter and found no problem. We were told that 1&2 , 3&4 , 5&6 share a common ground. If there is a problem with one injecter it will effect the other one. We just replaced #1 and #3 about 5 weeks ago. It's been good till friday. If we pull the wires off #3, then #4 will start fireing and it kills it when we hook 3 back up. we're thinking the new # 3 injecter is bad. Will let you know if replacing it fixes the problem.

    I have a 3406E in my 99 T600. About 440K miles and not one problem except a cracked turbo which we just replaced.
