Believe exhawkeye is in TCD and usually chimes in! Will be able to give more info, but a typical question asked is What location are you from?.

TCD is not the highest starting cpm at Maverick, it is the lowest.

There web site at https://www.maverickusa.com/driving-jobs shows…....
    • Flatbed Regional Division starting pay is $.44-$.48 per mile (6 + months experience)
    • Flatbed USA Division starting pay is $.46-$.50 per mile (6 + months experience)
    • Glass Division starting pay is $.50-$.54 per mile (6 + months experience)
    • Specialized Division starting pay is $.48-$.50 per mile
    • Temp Control Division starting pay is $.42-$.46 per mile (6 + months experience)

Those rates are for 6 + months experience so a new and student drivers get less.

If those are there rates for 6+ months experience.
What is there pay for 2+ years, 5+years, 10+ years?

You would need to call them and ask but as they are all listed in a range I would guess that the upper pay listed in those ranges is the max they offer (why show less then max pay when trying to recruit drivers?) and if you have just over 6 months you would get the lower pay in the range. They also offer a “Pay for Performance Bonus Program” that gives up to $.06 on top of the listed pay for meeting certain conditions.

    What other division pays less?
Why would you get paid a higher rate for just swinging a door opposed to having to get out and work securing your loads?

Read the rates off their site yourself. You may have had a recruiter tell you otherwise but they are probably including performance pay to make TCD look better if they were behind on their quota for filling TCD positions but we all know how much you can trust what a recruiter says.

Remember that both Flatbed and Glass divisions get the same detention pay as TCD as well as tarp pay on top of the mileage pay that you do not get with the TCD division.

I believe they get more per mile just for that reason. But for the regional flatbed less than 6 mos experience its .38 and .2 pay for performance. As for schooling at Maverick prolly have to talk to recruiting?

My nephew looked into going to Maverick a couple of months ago. He was told $.41 per mile for USA Flatbed so $.38 for Regional Flatbed sounds about right.

He was told that their CDL School had very limited available positions and that they only took students from limited locations. Not sure what those limits are but they would not accept him as a CDL Student from the Ann Arbor Michigan area. They did say they would take him as a new CDL holder if he obtained a CDL on his own, even if he got one without going to a CDL school. I thought that sounded odd as many companies look for X number of hours from a school that meets their requirements but Maverick told him they didn’t care if he went to any CDL school at all, just that he had a CDL when he arrived.
