Any loadboards besides uship & Central to get loads?

    Hey guys, I'm still active duty Marine Corps so I only run every other weekend between San Diego and Sacramento. I run a 96' Intl cabover and 3 car wedge- I manage to make enough to cover insurance, fuel, misc expenses etc and still turn a profit, but only because my military pay covers the bills, this suppliments them. So basically I'm tired of fighting low-ballers and other garbage on uship and cheap ### brokers on CD to fill my trailer. Anyone have any advice to help me out here? Anything I'm missing? Thanks for the help!

    Bueller..... Bueller.... LOL. Well to answer my own question, I've since been making a bunch of direct contacts with brokers by posting my empty truck on CD. Also got some connections on linked in dot com. Thankfully it's a BIG country with tons of cars to move so it's ok to share info ;)

    Other than brokers that have their own in house load board those are the more popular ones. I guess I have to ask, so what are you going to do in 9 months seeing as you are running a non-approved truck in Cali.?

    Just curious.

    Non approved truck? My tractor is a 1996, with a 1995 year engine. 1995 year engines are good til 2016 then they must be replaced with 2010 or newer- not gonna happen in this old girl. Hopefully before then I'll already be in something nicer and compliant. Trust me Kansas, I've done my homework with regards to this dumb state and it's regs......

    My bad then, I was under the impression that small fleet operators had until Jan, 1 2014 to comply?

    All ears are different- 2006 is dead this year, 2007 is dead next year IIRC. This garbage is the only reason I bought such an old truck- belive me if i could have been ale to use a 2007 truck til 2016 I woulda got one. That and the 96 was CHEAP lol

    I've considered it, you see others doing ok wtih that. I'd like an Infinity 5 car because it has that flat deck AND the front lift. But since I got on CD I got folk blowin' up my phone if I list my truck as having spots available. I could probably run a 9 car up and back once a week no problem.

    All moves are posted on the website and also on Central Dispatch. That being said, all the loads go on CarsArrive and then hit Central D. 10 minutes later. Alot of the traffic is selected off CarsArrive before it has time to hit Central D. Check it out. See if you meet the criteria to sign up. 48 state traffic, and payment is guaranteed.
