Any LTL hands here??

i plan to stick it out.....

there actually is one guy on the city driver seniority list who is only 21.....he worked there for a few years, then his dad (longtime overnite driver, 25 years in now) basically trained him on how to drive a truck.....they used the company equipment for free so he basically got free CDL training

i just dont know if i want to go to the city or go road.....i like the idea of getting paid by the hour....you have to be 23 to bid road by the way so ill make my decision around that time

but also road drivers get paid the city driver pay for all pre trips and dock work....plus if they are stuck in traffic with the wheels not rolling for more then 15 minutes

 

Thanks,....I moved to the top of the board when I started,....I am the only driver in my "zone",......Life should be good,.......And I really like it here!!

 

My wife has worked for UPS (parcel) for 15 years and she has always been treated incredibly well. They are a demanding employer, but they pay well for it.

Every time she has thought about leaving, I don't say anything and just let her go interview. It doesn't take more than one or two interviews and she remembers how good she has it.

They are a top notch company in any industry, not just freight.

knowing where you came from its a miracle you aren't still at the break bulk lol now me on the other hand, coming from carriers who provided excellent service...
