ANY MC DOT FOR SALE

Sorry know you posted this several weeks ago.But it doesn’t sound like from your post you understand how a operating authority works.First you can’t buy a old dot number they can’t transfer.you can buy a mc #so if you do buy a old mc you then have to apply for your own dot #.That date you get your own dot # and then buy insurance is when your authority starts.You are obviously Misunderstanding your not tricking insurance companies or brokers into thinking you’ve been in business for years these companies go off dot numbers just as fmcsa dot authorities that’s why you’re required to place your dot number on the truck you’re not required to place your mc numbers.

Why are you apologizing, you had the date right the other person mis-read the date and chastised you for the mistake he made.

 

You buy the company and the DOT and MC goes with it.

no it does not the link you’ve posted has not about selling its about changing a name of YOUR business.Now google selling a dot number not changing your business name or form of business

 

Read it again. Especially the second paragraph. Selling a business gets the transfer of both DOT and MC. It's done every day. Plenty of those transactions have occurred right here on the forum.
