Any new info on Vitran?

We have been bought out by central transport.I am not sure when the transition will take place.Pjax was ok,not much change with vitran,but when keylon and his goons from fed ex or wherever they came from took over its been a downhill slide.all I hear is bad stuff about central.Does anyone really know about them.Also heard their health insurance is pitiful.no hospitals or doctors here in Pa. have heard of it.Just wonderful with nobamacare kicking in.Thanks

everything we hear or told is negative.just found out today,black Friday no longer paid or Christmas eve.there has not been one thing good about this take over,exceprt for the moron family ,now they can get richer at others expense.i need a job but will only stay until I find new employment.give me a break not one doctor has heard of chief halftown f/in insurance.pay cuts,more miles (with some ) less pay,crappier equipment than vitran,WTH,are you kidding me.Subsidizing the corporation by taking your handheld home because the company is too f/in cheap to use their electric.cmon,you people will probably vote for Hillary next election,too.nothing is impressive about this merger for employees,but moron wil laugh all way to the bank.Oh yeah paper checks again.are we in a time warp.

 

Yep, get ready for management to feed you the company kool aid that the corporate office sends down with expectations of 100% and if you ask what you get in return, A Job with a paycheck that cashes every Friday. You will be better off signing up for obamacare when you see the insurance and should we even talk about the equipment? Someone described it well when they said duct taped trucks. I remember one time asking why the mirror was being held with duct tape and the guy said that he wrote it up in his DVIR just like he was told too on 10 occasions and it still wasn't repaired. Their insurance is so bad I would rather pay the government the fine for not having insurance.

 

Ex vitran driver here, got merged with central in nov. Everything that was promissed except rate of pay was a lie. Looking for a new job somewhere out of ltl.

 

What happened to your mileage pay? Because some of the Central "flat rates" amount to .30-.34 per mile.

 

Im a daylight hourly guy, pay rate stayed the same per hour, overtime is now at 55 hours, ins. sucks. Night guys from vitran are getting the higher pay (still a flat rate) than central drivers.
