When I received overweight ticket scale house told me does not affect anything other than my pocket book
I got an overlength ticket while in training. I missed my turn. Both the dot officer and trainer said to just pay and that I didn't need to tell employer. BUT, the citation clearly stated it needed to be signed by the carrier. I turned it in, paid the fine and learned a few valuable lessons: trust no one, watch your signs and pay attention to where you are going. I did not get in trouble with employer (I did not tell employer about the advice I was given either).
My safety director gets an email automatically (not sure from where) any time we get inspected or cited at a weigh station.
