you got that right! my little Alabama slammer is about 5'4" 120 lbs and at 51 years old is hard to keep up with when she makes me get in the yard working with her. I always tell her I have to go to the store and pick something up hoping shes done when I get back lol. any way Alabama local jobs range from 12 to 21 bucks an hour depending on the company. AAA cooper is around 18-21 for local P&D drivers.good bennys though. Thats about what you will find mostly. My last local gig was home everyday off on weekends and 28% of the load.

AirGas does have "independent" operating centers so to speak. They are owned by Kenan Advantage with merely different company names on the trucks and most of their terminals pay differently. I worked for Cryogenic Transportation that hauled air gas trailers out of an air gas plant in Blissfield, MI. They paid by the run, only hourly for approved delays. My trainer was running OVER 70 hrs/week to make $1200 gross. They like to preach about safety but they do not really back it up. They schedule you on runs they know you cannot legally do, tell you to do it anyway, then the terminal manager will go into the e-log system the next morning to change your start time to get your log back to "legal".... I do not know if all CTI or air gas locations operate this way or just the one I worked at.

For class A driving with haz-mat anything less than $19 an hour is an insult. Even that is on the low side.
