Any Questions about Roehl??

I will be on dairyland soon and be home every 36-48 hrs a week. Hopefully I can bring home 500+.

 

Keep us posted on how that division works out..not much information about it on here. That is one of the options I am looking at.

 

From everything I gathered this is what I found:

You will have 36-48 hrs home every week but it is not guaranteed to be on the weekends due to a customer that may want something delivered then. Pay is .31 cpm for reefer(went up from .28) and .26 for van(not sure if this changed too). They say you average 2000 miles in a week. You get to take your truck home with you as it is yours, no slip seating. You get all the additional pay such as drop and hook, live unloading, detention, rail yard, hand unloading and those kind of things. So I am thinking the average pay check will be anywhere from 500-700 a week. Hopefully I can push for 2500 miles which would be great.

 

Mo wonder they need drivers for this fleet, no offense but that is garbage

I have a few questions. I am a week or two from finishing cdl school and Roehl is one of the company's that I am looking at. Hoping for a local job as I have the wife and kids , I know not the best for trucking, but willing to work hard to make it work.

I am looking at the 7/4-7/3 home time, so I'm wondering about seat slipping (3 people to two trucks)and how this works for breakdowns,trash in the truck and moving in every week? Also wondering about pay, I looked at the website and it states avg pay 800 per week so with the 7/4-7/3 would that be 3 paychecks or would that be 2 paychecks in a 21- 3 week period? Any other info on this route would be great. I live in MN so hopefully there are some drivers here that can help.

 

Anyone have info on Midwest regional van? Money, hometime, anything else? Any chance to get home more than once a week? Thanks

Gross might be around that, but I'd be pretty surprised if you took home 500 weekly on that fleet. The math doesn't add up.

 

That's pretty bad yea. You're looking at $300-400 checks a week..

 

How so, .31 x 2000 is 620. Which calculates to roughly 515 after taxes taking a 2 deduction. I don't need health or any of that as I am covered under my wifes insurance. So no deductions there. Plus that is not adding any of the additional pay they provide for all the stops we have to make. She stated average is two stops/drop and hooks a day so at $7 per hook is $14 a day x 5 days is $70. Now after 3 months you go up .02 and after another 3 .02 more. Now needing to be home every weekend to be with my 2 kids is something I need so staying out 3-4 weeks is not an option. So taking home 550-600 Net is more then enough for me. So all in all for being home 36-48 hrs a week this is not all that bad.
