I asked the same thing to a Roehl recruiter just this past week. What she told me was that you would go to orientation for three days then go out with a trainer. You don't have to go to their school or anything but you also need to pass a drivers test.

Got it on my own, but been holding it for 3 years. Only training I got was OTR and that was coast to coast except northwestern region

You'd best talk with recruiting about that. I can't tell you for certain.

Shouldn't be any contract issues since you have your CDL. Just would have to attend a week of orientation, and on the road with a trainer for 8-12 days or so.

Thats how I would want it. But I'll call recruiting, if its like that then I will submit a application. But not planning to stay OTR, regional or local is what Im interested in

Plenty of regional options available, depending on where you live.

Have a question or 2 I have filled out a application for Roehl got a call today saying they are processing my application, more than likely i would have to drive to Dallas,I have 12 yrs driving fuel tanker never been gone from home tho, i applied for the tx route 7 on 2 off if anyone has info about this route please let me know, another question is since i have been driving for awhile will I still have to go out with a trainer or just do the road test, and lastly do they have manual or automatic trans or both been driving manual 10 and 13, think it would be kinda nice to drive a auto, just curious,y'all be safe out there, any info would be appreciated thanks

If you have recent experience, they may waive the trainer requirement once you pass a road test. Most of our trucks are manual 10 speeds. Have no info on that Texas regional fleet.

    txbigdaddy Thanks this.
