the real LTL is for solos only (unless h3ll freezes over and you have to save the day)

Teams may have A stop or TWO but it wont be anything like the regular LTL we do.

Like you may do Conover, NC to Santa Fe Springs, CA with a Stop in Denver or SLC or TX or something like that.

As a team it would be a waste of your time to do LTL as we usually have a 6-9 hour window to do our drops for the day.

i got a letter of intent from Watkins Shepard and was wanting to know how is it to drive for Watkins Shepard Do they have electronic log books Are the deliveries manageable ?
does the trip you are given based on a lower average of miles per hour ?

W/S is a great company, i've been here almost a year (one year in a few weeks) and I enjoy it here, they get us home on time and for how ever long we want to be there. The miles are there if you want them.

    We use paper logs.

Yes 97% of our loads have plenty of time to get there.

I dont understand your last question can you be more clear?

A few of the Volvos will do 69. My old truck ran at 67. My other new truck which should be a Volvo will hopefully do 69. Now that I'm running on the darkside (short line) it doesn't matter.

The last question was on ETA A Swift recuriter was at our school and said the disbatch system is set up with a delivery of 30mph so there is no reason to rush a load unless a driver dregs the load and waist time
I plan on taking a load with in reasonable time ie 2 days to go 500miles when I know I can do 500mile in one day

I drove for swift before and some deliveries where hairy on parking it
I did enjoy the big box deliveries because they where easy to dock
