Hi all, noticed this May forum has been kinda dead without any recent additions....any reasons why?
have read alot of the older threads which have been really helpful but curious to know if any current or any newly hired drivers have any recent info on orientation out of the Brooks terminal in Oregon? any current May trainers on this forum?
Any recent info on Brooks Or. terminal?

Nothing new because there is nothing new with May pretty much all that you read is true, it's a starter company come here get your experience and move on that's what I'm doing.

Thanks blwjr...how long you been with May? you running 48 or 11 west? do you know if they have a yard in Lathrop to drop off truck for hometime? or Yolo only?
blwjr Thanks this. -
Been with May 9 months I'm a 48 state driver but have did more 11 western driving (not by choice trust me) yes we have a yard in Lathrop is the one I use for home time.
GranaRig831 Thanks this. -
Cool...I hope things are going well for you, I think I`ve seen your username in some of the other threads I`ve read, talked to recruiter last week and she knew nothing about Lathrop yard for hometime..told me only of Yolo for dropping truck off for hometime but would guess for me out of Monterey county Lathrop would be a little closer if they allow it,
in April I originally setup to go w/Central Refr but family/car issues came up after orientation so went home to deal with business but they cut me loose for not being ready & will re-instate me if I want, but I have re-considered my options going with Megas & starter co training & dwindled down to two: Prime & May,
May sounds to be good....I like that they dont team you in training & the option of running 11 west, plus the 90/90 which I was told is now upto a yr in 90 day increments, though not too keen of no apus or taking rig home, but just gotta suck it up...alsolooking to get my experience too, am waiting for May on my work history check
stay safe out there! -
blwjr where did May send you for orientation?

Brooks Oregon

If your 48... is there a reason why you running alot of 11 west?
any pointers you can give me about the brooks terminal orientation &/or road test? I seen what I think is the horse-shoe course on google earth in the back corner & wondering if the straight back up & 45 backing is done into that horseshoe area? also curious to know what route they take when going out of yard for drive test? -
The tests are simple go slow, get out and look they want you to pass do they will give you pointers, road test is very short little freeway back roads and railroad tracks, it's very easy.
GranaRig831 Thanks this. -
Not sure why they try to keep me over there but every time I get around Oregon they try to give me local loads and I have to tell them to send me east.
GranaRig831 Thanks this.
