No they dont, very few people ACTUALLY work 24 hour shifts, it happens but only sporadically.
And just because the blitz is 72 hrs an individual officer wont start on tuesday am at midnight and work through till friday am, midnight.
Its shift work, theyre people, and manning the scalehouse is unlikely to be more than a 10 or if larry didnt come in, a 12 hour shift, far more likely its an 8hr
And theyre going to start on monday and end on friday. Because cops are nothing special, theyre petty humans just like you and i

It's not unusual fire there to be FMSCA personnel on-site at scale houses during the 72 hour. Just another body to help them do more inspections than normal.
