The key blank you want is a Y159

    Most stores have that.

I’ve just got another cut this morning for one of my 2013 VNL’s

I had to go to s local locksmith. I still have to wiggle the key just a little but it works. No regular store can make them. I tried them all including the auto stores.

After doing this I saw in one of the Petros a kiosk that makes keys. It was unattended. I think it was the one in Knoxville, but I can’t guarantee that was the one.

    Here’s a scary thought......

One day I stopped at a truck stop, some guy had locked his keys in his truck. He asked to use mine. First he tried my spare ( it didn’t work), then he tried the original (it DID work).

Now, I bought the truck used so it may have been a spare key, but how many variations can they have for each key with all the trucks that are produced?

I drove for a time for a company that used international 9200/9400 trucks. Supposedly, at that time, international only produced 4 different keys for all their trucks of the same year. My key would open 2/3 of the trucks in our fleet. But it wouldn't open the 9200 of the same year that I bought :(

I always had the dealer make me a spare key. It was only like 4 or 5 bucks.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
