Been driving flatbed for about 7 months. While doing Texas regional I drive around 24 to 2500 miles. If I want more I tell the dm and average 3k. You will earn your pay. You will be dirty, tired, hot, cold, sweaty and some times passed off. Rolling straps and fighting chains or tarps in cold and wind. Tarp juice getting all over you. Getting stuck in the mud at job sites because the foreman is a moron. Multi drop tapped loads, re powers oh my.
Flatbedding is a great job even with all the problems. Save for oil work, I would not want to do anything else. Give it a try and if you don't feel good about it, there's always reefer side.jayb123x Thanks this. -
So would you recommend Flatbed over Reefer? -
Yes I would. More satisfaction

How about Tanker would u still recommend it? I'm trying to choose between the two

Just my opinion, based on MY experience, your mileage may vary. I would rather drive a school bus for the mentally challenged than ever pull another flat bed. That #### is just too much like work. If I wanted to work as hard as a flatbed hauler, I would get a better paying construction job and be home every night.
