I'm on a Texas regional account, I started before Christmas and I was always running. Now, I always get loads out of Dallas but I'll sit for a at least a day everywhere else. Is it the slow season? Thinking about switching to OTR, or looking into different accounts but I don't wanna lose my driver leader or loose face with him if I talk about switching

DOT Transportation has local/regional/OTR, so you'll never sit.

It's slow this time of year, and it's definitely slower than last year. I was OTR until last week and had several 1300 and 1500 mile weeks when I was running out west.

Feels about normal to me, I have sat a bunch due to weather though way more this year. Literally everyday I woke up for 2-3 weeks snow up to hood grill from IN to WA. It’s been a very snowy season.

I've had to shut down a few times for weather, but otherwise things have been normal.

I deliver in Sumner, WA early tomorrow morning and then pick up a load going to Spokane for a 1400 delivery.
I'll head out the next morning to Lewiston, ID for a paper load going to IL.

I would not worry about your DM, or your standing. People move around all the time for various reasons.

It's been slow for me as well... But there are other ways I can make due. LTL, short runs that pay a lump mile, etc...

This is slowest I've seen it, too. I figured I would ask. I drove back in 2014-2015 for the pumpkin and I never sat. always had another pre-plan before I got to my delivery. I was just making sure I wasn't one of those drivers everyone talks about that the planners hate and purposely starve .Although that could still be me, cuz I constantly talk smack to the drive cams...

It's slow, bro. It's that time of the year. Just be patient. And good luck

According to DAT, business is booming. Freight is actually up 1% over last year same period.
