If I was near you. I would by your truck then buy your run from you. Just to have a route like that. I tell everybody that gets into this gig. You have 2 options. #1 buy a new truck pay it off quickly and trade or sell it in 3 years and keep doing it buying new. #2 buy older truck or glider and do your own wrenching and yes you will work on it when you don't want too. I myself are doing #2.

I thought i did too, once in a while you just get a lemon. Not much you can do when 2 dealers and an indy mechanic all give it a colonoscopy with good dyno, blowby and ecm pull, good tests on all systems and still fails within 50 miles.

That said this guys truck is either even WORSE then mine in which case big yikes. Or he has financial issues someplace. Even with all the bull ####tery of my own frog here i still get to keep decent wages more then not

The 2019 truck should be all right to make it work...

Those repairs must not be done at TAs and Dealerships...

You're probably doing it wrong, like the rest of us.

But you're supposed to have your feet to the side of the can, more like a natural squat.

How long does the run take you, are you not basically working part time?

5 - 6hrs a day, you are never going to make millions.

Not sure what it's like in US but in Australia with such high yearly costs, Rego, insurances etc, doing such low miles means your yearly costs per mile are alot bigger.

Can you not do 7 - 10 trips per week?

The way I look at it is, if you can do 6,7,8,9 trips a week, those extra trips are pure profit minus fuel and negligible other things like tyres. Your first 5 trips pays for your truck, yearly cost, maintenance etc, and the extra trips is were you make good money.

I was speaking to someone the other day who was complaining about profit, and I asked how many kms he has done this year and it was like 140,000. My truck has done 200,000, so that's 60,000 kms with little expenses except fuel.

    It makes a big difference.

Unless he has stupid wait times at each end this guy quite literally has the owner op dream gig here. Home every night and weekend and quite honestly should be making serious money for what is essentially a part time job. Guys spend 40 years driving their own truck and never see a run like this. I'd give my front teeth for a run like this near me.

If you’re making the revenue you claim, then obviously the truck isn’t in the shop as much as claimed..making that kind of revenue on those miles and even with high diesel prices running that area you should be rolling in the $$$…something don’t add up…missing info??
