Am curious too. Want to get rid of mine and put in more cabinets or safe shelving for microwave and such.

I had an old T800 that had the top bunk removed. Never really missed it as I was always solo and no riders.

I have taken out the top bunk and passenger seat and I don't regret either one being gone . It really opened up allot of room !!!
-
Never really thought about the passenger seat....hmmm....did you build a cabinent there or something?
-
I have been thinking the same thing. Plan on selling mine down the road so don't want to destroy it. Just trying to figure out how to get it out of the cab.
Was also thinking about seat to reduce weight. -
Whenever I buy a truck, I remove both seats, put down a hardwood floor, then instal only the drivers seat. The other side is drilled for the bolts for the seat etc, but no seat there. Last truck was a condo and I removed the bunk. Just kept it in my shop and reinstalled it when I traded the truck in.
Removing that passenger seat really opens up the truck, and makes a very good dog bed for the German Shepherd I have with me.
Martinjamesd503, Southpaw7391 and scottied67 Thank this. -
I know i just put a new mattress in (xl twin fits perfect and caught a $450 mattress on clearance for $130) it wasn't hard but I can see where getting that bunk out may be a problem but I should be ok if I remove the seat classic is so freakin far apart its kinda useless to sit stuff on because of the reach (and im 6'3)

Bunk folds up, out of the way....no problem.

I'm at 32,200 with half tanks. I want to get some room to be able to pull 48K without any issues.
New 70 lbs tarps show up on Monday (that's a net savings of 250 lbs), thinking of removing drivers seat. That has to be another 100lbs or so.
Oh, and then there is me. On a mission to drop 100 lbs. Down 13 last week.
