I worked for them almost a year. If your husband doesn't mind OTR & being out a couple weeks at a time...MVT will get him the miles & he'll make money doing it. Their company policy, I just didn't fully subscribe too. Doesn't mean it was wrong, only I couldn't oblige anymore and moved on. I posted a few thoughts in other MVT threads....good luck.
Anybody know about Mesilla Valley Transp. or a good company in TX??

ORT WIFE I don't believe you have to jump through certain hoops to get the insurance. If your husband is working/driving & not giving them static about being out and getting back out after a home call...I'm sure it'll be offered. It was to me.
MVT has their hands in multiple ventures as they have a captive audience of over 1000 company drivers & 250 or so L/O. I believe they're partnered with an outfit that either revenue shares or kicks-back some of the premiums.
MVT does not lease on just anybody or their trucks. In order to bring multiple trucks on you've got to know somebody or BUY your first leased on truck from them. The owner of the company also owns the Border International truck dealership in El Paso.
Good luck. This time of year if your husband is good at log books he'll make a pretty good coin.ORT WIFE Thanks this. -
MVT seems to haul most of the loads for Johnson Controls out of El Paso. They ship car seat covers made at their EDIASA (Ensamble de Interiores Automotrices S.A.) factories in Cd. Juarez. One of their accounts is the Toyota plant in San Antonio so getting back there frequently wouldn't be a stretch.

Yep, were in bankruptcy but as I understand it they came out. Now owned by GE.
ORT WIFE Thanks this.
