Reefer outfit, multiple P & D (pick and drop), don't know much else about 'em... oh, yeah, you can look forward to pallet exchange.
nadolap Thanks this. -
Tried to edit that post... you can look forward to pallet exchange as well.

There's a guy on another blog who recently went to WEL from Arnold. He loves it, says he gets, normally, 2500-3000 miles a week. And normally gets home on time. But, is a lot of multiple stops.
nadolap Thanks this. -
Forgive me, what exactly is pallet exchange?
What little I have heard about WEL has been very good.
WEL wanted me because when I come home to Indianapolis for 32 hr reset I can makes runs for Nestle out of Anderson IN -
Don't companies pay you for multiple stops?
-
Pallet exchange is where the shipper charges the receiver for the pallets they used to ship the product.
So if you offload 12 pallets of material, you will get back 12 empty pallets, which you will have to deal with the rest of the trip. Been there, done that.....nadolap Thanks this. -
Yeah, you get paid for additional stops, not including the first and last. Usually about $15 per stop. Pallet exchange is a hassle because sometimes you have to hunt down 22 pallets for a dispatch that requires pallet exchange. Or, carry around 22 pallets that were given back to you from a consignee.

well it is 1:30 am getting ready to head to Wisconsin for orientation, then road with in cab trainer for 6 weeks if I get a chance i will update. Thank you all for your input, we will get info on WEL out there for those who might be interested in future. I met a not so happy Celedon trucker at Taco bell,. He had been at it 17 years. The fact that i was just starting and going to be making more cents per mile then him also did not help.
I am real exited to start my new career I hope driving stays exciting for a while.Last edited: Jun 6, 2010
