anybody know anything about werner

He would be better off getting his cdl on his own. If he trains with a company and fails they will charge him 8000+ for the classes. If he takes oout a lon and fails he could probably find a school for less then 3000. The schools that are free with companies try to get you to quit so they can charge the outrageous price for the class. they then treat you liek crap becuase you cant quit for 6 months to a year.

Get the CDL on his own,

See if Sage driving school would work for ya. I went to the one in idaho and i was pretty impressed. Hopefully one down there would also be good. Also werner will reimburse your driving school...as long as you jump thru their hoops. Although i am driving for werner (almost for a year) and have been dissapointed. My average pay is only 400 to 450 a week average...even if i get decent miles. The reason i went with werner though is cause they allow pets. Do some research. I wanted to drive for pride out of salt lake but i dont know if they would hire out of AZ. Maybe check out Interstate distributing.

 

Ill say werner seems kinda hit and miss. Some people like it and some hate it. Im in between. If he could get on a dedicated account it probably wouldnt be as bad.

 

It's like going to prison. Some people seem to like it, make lots of friends, and continue to go back again and again. Some people hate it and never go back. Some people do their best not to go in the first place.

 

I would say dedicated pays more and possibly even regionl.I drove OTR with werner and the last yr with them,many of my checks was what trainees make and some checks less then that.

 

Using the truck to run things over is a Bad thing, I would assume.

The guy in the Porta Potty probably got blue wash splashed up all over the crack oh his buttock and now has Hep-A.

 

I guess i am just weird,i don't find the "tapped" the porta potty funny,wouldn't be to funny if he some how messed up and ran the porta potty over and killed the guy. I don't really think he should have been fired but maybe a few days off work ,how many of you would be laughing real hard if you were the one getting a blue water bath,
I had the same thing done to me by a foreman i worked for ,i was standing up the first time,the second time i was sitting,when i got out and they guys were all laughing i told the foreman,if you would have got me splashed i would call saftey dept. and tell them i need a decontamination and then ill go home and you will pay me ,he saw how serious i was and never did it to me again,its all funny until your the one in the outhouse.

 

Werner Schmerner they are all the same Madam they are in it to make money off your back I worked for so many trucking GANGS and even the best of them don't measure up to working for your self. Yaahh that is a lot of responsibility but the old saying goes (you get what you pay for) If you need to get comfortable in trucking then go find a driver job learn fast the longer you stay driving some one else truck the less time you are going to benefit you self NEVER...NEVER ... NEVER.... Buy a truck from a company that hire's you to drive it ALL they are Doing is stealing your social security fund and Making you pay for the break downs and the repairs on that truck they sold you and some of them will even steel your so called (your own truck) they will steel it from you legally HOW??? When you get closer and closer to have some equity in that truck you bought from the Schmucks Then All of a sudden the loads disappear even if there are a million loads out there WHY..???? If they keep you setting in the truck stop OR Give you that GREAT PAYING LOAD That Takes 10 to 15 days to pick and deliver and only goes 500 miles but is paying $3 a mile for a total of $1500 Minus fuel and everything else ...Are you Getting the picture??? then you will eventually default on you truck payment and loose the truck to you know WHOOOOOOOOOO? DO NOT WORK FOR PEOPLE THAT WANA SELL TRUCKS WORK for people that want to hire driver NOT Dipsticks Kapeach? Hint the cleaner you keep you driving record spify the higher salary or per mile you will get. ( you will be in demand ) The sooner you start working for your self the chances are you will have less collage punks try to preach to you what is safe driving is ( U DIGG?? KEEP YOUR RECORD CLEEEEEAAAAN? Don't Drive on ice and snow because mrr. Know it ALL dispatcher Schmuck can drive in a snow storm HE or SHE drive SUV's NOT TRUCKS HE/SHE Don't get piont's against their CDL they don't have one YOU DO NEVER LISTEN To a Schmuck on the dock telling you that you can backup in to a #### whole dock that the UPS truck can't fit in AND THEY DO IT ALL THE TIME The schmuck say ONE wreck in you first 2 years and you are almost done in trucking SO try to be on your own as soon as you are able to Good luck and happy trails PS. Werner has electronic logs and that is a problem in today's world why because while it is safer to drive under electronic logs they (The Trucking Companies, The Federal Gov.) are not willing to share the expense of driving safely they preach safety out of their ya Know what..(^) So go to companies that have the old fashion LOWG BOOK
