i would opt for a 4000 watt genny min for better fuel economy and so it won't be stressing out to run it. another option i seen drivers do is cut a hole in the back of the sleeper and drop a window unit in it.Rideandrepair and broke down plumber Thank this.

yamaha's good to but honda has better fuel economybroke down plumber Thanks this.

That split unit could be plumbed in neatly for a few extra greenbacks and you could put a scotchguarded canvas cover over it while in transit keep it clean . Would look professional and would be more secure .

i think i'm going the window unit route. if it breaks who cares junk it buy a new one and move on vs spending thousands and having the mini split break because of things like pot holes and so on.Last edited: Jun 7, 2024

I also wonder how long the mini splits will last being dragged around hitting all of them pot holes!!!

just tried out my honda eu 3200i it runs an 8000 btu ac for 6 1/2 hours. debating on the onan p4500 model vs having to fudge around with the extended tank

We installed a 12v DC mini split on our 1997 Volvo at work. Popped a couple of holes in the sleeper for the line set and drain and were done. It worked and looked professionally installed when we were finished, but I don't see it lasting due to vibration. Unfortunately I'll never know for sure, because about a month after we installed it Texas sent that truck to auction.
It was a nice couple of weeks though.broke down plumber Thanks this.
