Guys I am still a trainer. So I will still have a FM in the training group. As far as the shot in my neck, it is getting better everyday. I am amazed at how well this has worked. I have gotten two great nights of sleep, the first since this happened. I will see how it goes when I go back, I have a curtainside behind the truck right now, I am going to have to load it to go back out, so I will see what happens, I might be fine. I do know this, I am going to quit being cheap and buy a fifthwheel puller, that way I don't have to get all stupid getting under the trailer to pull the release handle for the tandems.
Anyone been hurt at work???

If you end up having more problems with the Workers Comp case manager and your back or neck is still hurting get an Attorney.
Those WC people will find any excuse to not pay your medical bills.
I went through this a few years ago with a collapsed disc in my back.
I had surgery 2 times and WC fought every bit of it until i got an Attorney involved.
They sure changed their attitude after that.
They tried all of the shots, physical therapy, spinal decompression treatments and everything else for months. It helped for short term but the pain would always come back.
Just be careful.... -
Is Ray still in the reefer FM?
-
Yeah, the shot has helped for all of two days, and the tingles are back in two of my fingers and the pain is back in my arm... I think this might be a long haul.

If it was a stellate-ganglian (sp) block, they can do more, as they build on the previous one.paoldschool Thanks this.

As far as I know Ray is still working in reefer dispatch, but I've been gone for awhile.

Still off work, trying to get an assesment of what I can and can't do done. The PT place that I have been going to has a set-up very close to what the PWS goes through in Gary. So I have forwarded our PWS to them, and they are going to do it here at home. I guess at least I will know what I am able to do. I question if I will ever be able to drive a truck again, but we will see.

Hopefully you'll get some good news. I'm sure you could come run reefer for the company I'm at, but we're also kind of outlaw. Trying to change the culture but it's going to be a hard sell. We have no PWS just pass the DOT Physical and the road test (I'm surprised how many guys fail it). We could use some guys that want to run legal.

Best of luck getting back rolling OldSchool.

I was hurt over ten years ago so I don't think it is the same work comp company. They paid every dime. I had to talk to someone on the phone once a week. It seemed like they were trying to trick me into saying something incriminating.
