If there is a shortage- how come its so hard to find a load? These big companies are stripping them from the bored. Hard for an O/O to get anything going where they need to be. Explain that to me, somebody, please. Unless I've been drinking.

Motor carriers are openly whining in this months Trucker mag about driver shortages. They whine about having to consider inexperienced hands cause no good drivers will apply.

Motor carriers are blaming the publicity surrounding the CSA scores. That is scaring off their prospects too.

OMG unseated trucks! Iron against the fence! What's a carrier to do??????

Hey Mr.Carrier ! Need drivers? You do?? Good! Walmarts private fleet has a waiting list of veterans, you can too. Model your pay and benefits, hours and equipment like them and enjoy full seats and happy drivers.

How simple was that....and I'm just a driver......

they have been crying about this since i started driving six years ago and yet i still see c###loads of students signing up to work as slaves for six months.....now if companies would spend more money on retention and driver pay etc they would not have a shortage but if your backasswards business model is based on replacing your entire fleet of rookie drivers every year you will allways feel shorthanded
