....I like to run hard. Stopping makes me feel like I will be late even if I am running early and it makes me anxious (well, I am an anxious person anyway...) My load planner told me I am a hard runner and she gives me long haul loads because she knows I'll stop only for my 10 hr break. :yes2557:

I used to do it all the time when I was a OTR driver.. I used to be able to hold my bladder for long periods of time, but now I don't think I could do it unless I didn't drink anything... I guess when I was OTR I trained myself to hold the bladder and drive..

I HATE the U.S.A so I wanted quickly in and then back out into Canada.....

Nah I am just joking... I loved the U.S it was nice seeing different parts of the US even tho it was only mostly driving thru areas and now spending much time in places... It's just sometimes I wanted to be home and not on the road so I would do my job as quick as I could possible...

Likewise. This is the reason why I like to run at night instead of the day also. 11hrs even with a 62mph truck will give me almost 700 miles a shift (depending on the terrain). Plus, when I shut down at 8ish in the morning, I don't need to fight for a parking spot or create my own.

So yes, I actually do run at least 10 hours straight on a regular basis, especially when I'm pulling a dry load that doesn't require periodic reefer checks. It's all in your stamina.

I've done it twice. Both times because there was no time to spare on the loads.

To those drivers who do it regularly by choice:

Ever hear of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)?

That crap can be deadly, just ask David Bloom's survivors.

I drove 13 straight before. 11 hours straight to get to the reciever to drop off the freight/trailer, and 2 hours off duty driving to find a parking spot.

Have done it many times. And then there are even more times where I've stopped for a pee break of 5 minutes or less.
    But yes...11 straight, no stopping.
