I would not come over just for the money. Like they said, it depends on what dc you work out of(New York city is not a high mileage location for instance) and if you are extra board and we do have slow downs in freight some weeks and you can get laid down early by the ROC etc. It is a high pressure job as they want to fire you for about anything anymore(higher seniority means more chance of that) and they are micromanaging us at every turn...you will be a wheel holder. But...if you are stuck in a low paying position with no chance to advance...if you can put up with the hassles(see other posts here)...willling to work long hours..possibly spend years jumpseating..and are able to remain patient and calm...then come on down. Just dont be swayed by the blue cheerleaders...it is a job..not nirvana. Good luck:)

Seems like as a full time driver is fired or retires, that truck is programmed out at my dc...check with others to see if that is nationwide.

I thought they might do away with assigned trucks by now. I know that won't be popular if you have an assigned one but they could give a driver one to use all week.
