Anyone else hate shifting?

    Yeah, well I don't even know how to drive a manual car, so I think that made it 10 times harder for me when I tried to learn learning to drive a manual for the first time in a truck, one of the hardest thing I've ever tried to do lol.

    Shifting, clutching, and all that, I never considered ‘hard’ even in bumper to bumper city traffic. Compared to milking 150 cows twice a day, pitching manure, shoveling hot asphalt, digging trenches, pulling fuel hoses in crotch deep snow, all those things I have done, shifting is easy peasy.

    Yeah but there's a thing called drivers knee, which occurs when drivers respect equipment and don't Float!! I had a bad knee when I entered trucking, my knee was weak due to my football days, I also initially drove on a hard clutch.. let's just say I love the auto of today here in DFW, the population has doubled in 30 years.. I've got enough to deal with local without worrying about shifting.. however if you're driving the mountains I would prefer the manual...so it's really just about whatever trucking you do..
